Eyes

Does the bee harm the rose, While drinking from its essence? Would a young girl be offended By the words of this ignorant man? Are the weeds a harm to the rose, When they grow from the same soil? Do these words make you frown, When every syllable pours from the heart? Is it water that gives life to the rose? Or should one seek a greater power? Believe me, your eyes are brighter than the sun, Everything is temporary, have patience. Once, when the rose was a bud, It would bloom upon seeing the sun; God created your eyes with divine care, While your gaze warms my soul. Yet, poems were always written for the rose, While another was passing through the heart. The poet searched for a name for his love, While words remained helpless before you.
